If you’re travelling to CA with pets this winter/spring: San Diego health officials on Tuesday announced that ticks found in the region tested positive for tularemia, a potentially dangerous bacterial disease also known as “rabbit fever.”

From the US: “The J.M. Smucker Company said it had initiated a voluntary recall of specific shipments of Gravy Train, Kibbles ‘N Bits, Ol’ Roy and Skippy canned dog food after pentobarbital was found.”
